SERVICES
While people come to therapy for a wide variety of reasons, I tailor treatment to the individual and consider it a collaborative process between you, the client, and I, the therapist.
I think it is important to understand, that while a diagnosis might be helpful in communicating some of the symptom parameters, everyone is unique, these things change with time, and no two people require the same treatment. The same relates to length and frequency of treatment. These considerations can be worked out between us, and often change as an individual’s needs change.
As a New York Psychotherapist, I cannot prescribe medication, but collaborate with treating psychiatrists as necessary, if it is determined that medications might be helpful to alleviate some of your symptoms.
Some of the concerns that individuals bring to treatment relate to:
Self-sabbotaging behaviors
Loneliness
Bereavement / Loss of loved ones
Anger management
Work-related issues
Family conflict
Procrastination
Feelings of disconnectedness
Childhood trauma (including physical, sexual, emotional, and verbal abuse)
Psychosis (Delusions and Hallucinations)
Paranoia
Panic attacks
Feelings related to heatlh and medical concerns
Obsessive / Compulsive behaviors
